The 2012 July 4th Planning Committee is looking for a few good neighbors…

We need your help to make our July 4th celebration great!  The more volunteers the better.  What are your interests?  Activities include a Parade, followed by entertainment for family and friends.  The kids really enjoy the Field Games, and at the end of the day everyone gathers for the Picnic.

To volunteer, or to get more information, please email Joe Story at joestory@mac.com.

You may also check back here at strathmore-belpre.org.  Updates will be posted as they become available.

Thanks!!

Original Sales Material From Levitt

We have also found a website that contains much of Levitt’s original sales material for Strathmore. Besides a wonderful description of the company’s thinking in creating the community and how it came to be, the site contains the original elevations and floor plans for each model.

Washington Post Profiles Our Community

On April 29th, our community received a rave review by The Washington Post. In an article titled “At Strathmore at Bel Pre, ‘close-knit’ isn’t just a cliche,” reporter Jim Brocker noted that if the community’s elementary schools are still within walking distance and its swimming pools, tennis courts, and picnic area remain its signatures, what truly unifies the area is its community spirit. “Its re sidents not only know their neighbors, but also enjoy spending time with them.” To read the whole article, click above, or go to WashingtonPost.com and insert Strathmore-Bel Pre in the search box.
